After the first performances of the new performance NewsReal for soprano, soundtrack and video in collaboration with soprano Cora Schmeiser in Theater Zeebelt, The Hague, Falk is continuing to work on the piece. Together with Cora Schmeiser last changes are made, to be presented in OCW Rotterdam in January (see dates). A trailer of the performance will be online soon.

Falk has been selected to be part of the first collective of the Kameroperahuis Zwolle (chamber opera house Zwolle, NL). During the present and upcoming season this new collective, consisting of composers, directors, singers, musicians and other performers will produce artistic work and will investigate new context for the cultural and economic future of music theatre in The Netherlands and abroad.

Since september 2011 Falk works as senior lecturer at the Utrecht School of Arts (HKU) for the new master study in Performance Design. He is supervising the students in their research projects and teaches the course on artistic research. Since May 2012 Falk has been appointed programme coordinator of this study, accredited by the Open University. Related to this new challenge Falk is member of the team of the Research Centre for Theatre Making Processes around Nirav Christophe, also part of the HKU.

Besides these artistic activities Falk is focussing on finishing his PhD dissertation "Shifting Identities" on musicians as theatrical performers. The trajectory will be finished after the summer of 2013 and will result in a new performance and a doctoral dissertation.
