Falk Hübner

works as freelance composer, arranger, performer and theatre maker. Born in 1979 in Bückeburg, Germany, he studied composition and double bass in Arnhem, The Netherlands. From the beginning of his studies onwards, he began to work regularly with artists from other disciplines such as dance and video art.

The continuous moving away from traditional ways of composing evolved into a continuous creation of music for theatre and performance in various countries and theaters, such as the MousonTurm Frankfurt or Schauspielhaus Bochum.

Recently Falk is busy with the development of his own concepts and ideas of (music-)theatre on the boundaries between music, installation and performance, also in the context of the PhD-research project Identities in-between at the university of Leiden (NL) and the Orpheus Institue Gent/DocARTES (B). He has published articles about artists as Heiner Goebbels and their work, and about his own work and the related concepts.

Falk Hübner lives and works in Rotterdam together with his partner Marieke Küttschreutter and their son Yannis.
