After having finished Wasteland for pianist, piano objects, soundtrack and video text Frederik Croene, Falk is working on newsreal (working title) for soprano, soundtrack and interactive video (live news feed) in collaboration with The Hague-based design studio LUST. The piece will be performed by soprano Cora Schmeiser and will be produced by Theater Zeebelt in The Hague.

Since september 2011 Falk works as senior lecturer at the Utrecht School of Arts (HKU) for the new master study in Performance Design. He is supervising the students in their research projects and teaches the course on artistic research. Related to this new challenge Falk will be part of the team of the Research Centre for Theatre Making Processes, also part of the HKU.

As last artistic projects of the 2011/2012 season, Falk is composing the music for two dance pieces for young audiences: WI WA WIT with Rauher Engel and Vliegvartoet by Joerdis Cordua/Cordua&Magnus. After these artistic activities Falk will focus on finishing his PhD dissertation "Shifting Identities" on musicians as theatrical performers.
